Summary:

In Christ’s earthly ministry to Israel there appeared to be an explosion of demonic activity. In a foreshadowing type, there was a proliferation of Nephilim giants that greeted the newly born nation of Israel in Canaan. Since we believe the demons are the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim, are we now seeing a proliferation of demonic activity in the world indicating the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand?

Show Notes:

There is no reference in Scripture to where the devils (demons) originate, but we clearly see they exist. The only reference to their origin is in the non-canonical Book of Enoch:

“28 And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling.


29 Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the Watchers is their beginning and primal origin; they shall be evil spirits on earth, and evil spirits shall they be called.

30 And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble. They take no food, but nevertheless hunger and thirst, and cause offences.

31 And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.

32 From the days of the slaughter and destruction and death of the giants, from the souls of whose flesh the spirits, having gone forth, shall destroy without incurring judgement, thus shall they destroy until the day of the consummation, the great judgement in which the age shall be consummated, over the Watchers and and “the godless, yea, shall be wholly consummated.” - Book of Enoch 5:28-32


Days of Noah:

Eating and drinking: implying carelessness? Reckless abandon

Marrying and giving in marriage: only reference to marriage is Gen. 6

Noah entered the ark: type of the rapture, Deliverance of the just

Till the flood came: the wrath of God

Took them all away: destroyed them

Demonic proliferation evidence:

Government leaders are clearly demon possessed or controlled

The current US administration (and others) preside over child sex trafficking from our southern border

Gender dysmorphia is being promoted by policy and law

Digital consciousness is being placed on par with biological consciousness (Larry Page)

Eternal life through technology and AI is being sought (Ray Kurzweil)

Christianity is being attacked

Takeaway:

The latter days of earth will see seven times worse demonic activity than the times of Jesus’ earthly ministry. Demonically possessed or controlled leaders lie without hesitation, they don’t care what crimes they commit, they don’t care who they hurt, and their policies are designed to wreak havoc. Chaos is being created by design, so a false Messiah can bring “order to the chaos.” While the antichrist will appear to bring peace, the war in heaven will cause the dragon and his angels to be cast down to the earth. Then all hell breaks loose! The sudden destruction will catch all who worship the beast by surprise.
